Projects

A few problems
we’ve worked through.

Websites people can find. Tools that make work easier. A platform that costs a lot less to run.

Let’s talk

Already good at their work.
Now easier to find.

Seven of these new websites included search engine optimization (SEO) and AI search optimization (AIO). Most of those clients had the same problem: too few people were finding them online. Nawican’s project was the initial build and handoff.

Reg Norman Trucking website with industrial and residential service routes, a callback form, and dispatch number
Two clear customer paths and dispatch details close at hand.

Reg Norman Trucking Ltd.

Make it easier to find the right crew for the job.

Reg Norman Trucking serves both industrial customers and people needing a local delivery. I built a new site that makes those two routes clear, with services, safety information, and dispatch details easy to find.

A callback request gives visitors a simple next step. SEO and AI search optimization were included to help people find the company when they need the work done.

They were already using email under their own domain. I moved their email to Office 365 to simplify the licensing and lower their costs.

KB Construction website showing a timber building, the company’s experience, and a request-a-callback button
Real projects, clear services, and a direct way to get in touch.

KB Construction Ltd.

Good work needs more than word of mouth.

KB has been building since 1994. There was already plenty of experience to show, so I built a new website that gives that work room to speak for itself.

The site brings their projects, services, and credentials together, with a straightforward way to request a callback. I included SEO and AI search optimization so people looking for a builder have a better chance of finding them.

KB also needed to move its email to addresses under its own domain. I handled that migration alongside the website, bringing their email under kbconstructionltd.com.

Daly’s Paintless Dent Repair website showing Brian working on a vehicle beside the repair services and estimate button
The work, the person behind it, and a clear estimate request.

Daly’s Paintless Dent Repair

Good repair work needs to be seen.

Brian’s work is easier to understand when you can see it. I built a new site around his vehicle repairs, the services he offers, and feedback from his customers.

Visitors can see what he does and ask for an estimate without digging around. The build also included SEO and AI search optimization to help local drivers find him.

Peace Eavestroughing website showing gutter services, a winter roofline, and the owner’s trade credentials
Local services and trade credentials, with a simple route to a quote.

Peace Eavestroughing

Be there when someone needs their gutters fixed.

People looking for gutter help need to know who covers their area and whether they can trust the work. I built a new site that explains the services, shows the owner’s trade credentials, and makes getting a quote straightforward.

SEO and AI search optimization were included from the start, with the service area and the work clearly explained.

Viva Reflexology Institute website introducing its hands-on training with an upcoming courses link
A clear introduction to the training and a route to upcoming courses.

Viva Reflexology Institute

A good course still needs to be found.

Viva has hands-on training and experienced instructors to offer. I built a new website that helps prospective students understand the teaching approach, explore the courses, and find their next step.

The course information and inquiry routes sit alongside SEO and AI search optimization, so the training is easier to discover as well as easier to understand.

Nawican Friendship Centre website introducing its community programs and services
Initial website development, handed over to Nawican Friendship Centre.

Nawican Friendship Centre

Making community support easier to find.

I built Nawican Friendship Centre’s website to give its programs, services, and ways to get involved a home online. People can learn about the centre and find their next step, whether they need support or want to help.

My part was the initial development. Once the build was complete, I handed the website over to Nawican Friendship Centre. SSI LABS doesn’t provide ongoing maintenance for this site.

Dahlia Barn and Co. website showing the flower farm at sunset and its locally grown flowers
The farm’s own character, with flowers and ordering easy to explore.

Dahlia Barn & Co.

Help people find the flower farm down the road.

Diana’s flower farm has a lovely story and plenty to show. I built a new site that keeps that personal feel while giving bouquets, flower subscriptions, and decor rentals their own place.

People can explore the flowers and find out how to order. I also worked on SEO and AI search optimization to help more people discover the business.

St. Mark’s Food Bank website with prominent Get Food Support and See Hours and Location links
Food support and opening information, right where people need them.

Dawson Creek Food Bank Society

Finding food support shouldn’t be hard.

When someone needs help, the website should make the next step easy. I built St. Mark’s Food Bank a new site with food support, hours and location up front, and clear routes for volunteers and donors.

SEO and AI search optimization were part of the build too. The aim was simple: help people find the food bank and understand how to reach it.

The food bank also needed email under its own domain. I migrated their email to dcfbs.ca addresses as part of the project.

Sometimes the answer is a tool of our own.

Dispatch and IS ER OPEN are systems built by SSI LABS. Each started with a practical problem worth making easier.

Dispatch website showing the workflow from a customer quote through a work ticket, dispatch, invoice, and payment
A connected path from the first quote to getting paid.

Dispatch · Built by SSI LABS

Running the job shouldn’t mean chasing the paperwork.

Local service companies need to quote work, send someone out, keep track of the job, and get paid. That can turn into a lot of copying between messages, tickets, and spreadsheets.

I built Dispatch to bring those steps together in a system that’s easy to understand and affordable to use. The aim is to give smaller teams a practical way to manage their work without making software another job.

IS ER OPEN · Developed in 2025

Finding out if the ER is open shouldn’t take a search through Facebook.

Hospital closure updates were scattered around, and knowing where to look wasn’t obvious. I developed IS ER OPEN in 2025 to bring Northern BC emergency department information into one place.

The tool brings hospital status, locations, and contact details together in a simple view. It’s an independent community project, and the reason for building it was to make that information easier to find.

Lexcode · KabayanTranslate

The platform worked. The running costs didn’t.

Lexcode’s KabayanTranslate service was running on an AWS setup that cost over $500 a month. The client wanted to keep the design. The work that needed doing was underneath.

Previous AWS setup

$500+/ month

After the backend rebuild

< $50/ month

A smaller bill. Easier upkeep.

I rebuilt the backend and brought the platform’s operating costs below $50 a month. I also moved the payment gateway and replaced the staff panel’s username-and-password login with Azure single sign-on.

The design stayed as the client requested. I’m the sole maintainer of KabayanTranslate, looking after its cybersecurity and infrastructure management for Lexcode.

  • Backend rebuilt
  • Payment gateway migrated
  • Staff access moved to Azure SSO
  • Ongoing security and infrastructure care
KabayanTranslate’s customer-facing translation website, with the existing design retained at the client’s request
The client’s design stayed. The changes were behind the scenes.

Good work shouldn’t cost
an arm and a leg.

Have a look at the work and judge for yourself. You’re welcome to contact these clients and ask directly about their experience working with SSI LABS.
