An example engagement / 2–4 weeks
Wireless that was never designed
Coverage guessed instead of modelled, complaints answered by adding access points. What a proper wireless design and verification engagement looks like.

The situation
Somebody ran cable and mounted access points where it was convenient to mount them. Nobody modelled the building. Now coverage is fine in the hallway and bad in the room that matters, the warehouse drops connections between racking, and the shop floor has never worked properly. Every complaint gets answered the same way, by adding another access point, which usually makes it worse because the new one fights the old ones for the same channel.
Nobody in the building can tell you whether the problem is coverage, capacity, interference, or the switch it all plugs into.
How we approach it
We start with the building, not the hardware. Floor plans, construction materials, ceiling heights, and what actually happens in each space, because a classroom and a warehouse need different designs even at the same square footage.
From there we build a coverage model and produce a design: how many access points, where they mount, what channels and power levels, and how it all cables back. If there is existing equipment worth keeping, the design says so. If the problem is upstream of the wireless, the design says that too, and you save the money.
Your contractor installs to the specification. We come back afterward and survey the finished install against the model.
What you end up with
- A coverage model of your actual building
- Access point count, placement, and mounting schedule
- Channel and transmit power plan
- Cable schedule and switch port requirements
- A validation survey after installation, with a pass or fail against the design
The design package is yours. You can take it to any contractor, compare bids, and verify whether the finished work meets the specification.
Rough timeline
Two to four weeks for design on a single site, depending on size and how good your floor plans are. Validation is a day or two on site after installation is complete.
Worth knowing
We do not install and we do not sell access points. When we tell you a quote is high or an install was done badly, nothing on our side depends on the answer.
Tell us what
isn’t working.
The system you work around. The project that stalled. The decision nobody has time to make.
Bring it to us. We’ll tell you honestly whether we’re the right people for it.
